On May 11, the Seminar for Mathematics and Music will host a special event at the Mathematical Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (Room 301F, Kneza Mihaila 36/III), as part of the celebration of Women in Mathematics Day (May 12) and the national science outreach initiative May Month of Mathematics.
The programme will include a brief lecture on Sophie Germain delivered by Prof. Dr Vesna Todorčević and screening of the short film Je suis Sophie Germain / I am Sophie Germain, followed by.
Je suis Sophie Germain / I am Sophie Germain is a 14-minute film in French with English subtitles, created on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of Sophie Germain’s birth (April 1, 1776).
