Description and practical details

A career guidance event for junior high and high school girls, helping them discover the wonders of mathematics. Co-hosted by Kavli IPMU, steAm Inc. and Girls Unlimited Program.

Program:

1. Movie screening and Panel Discussion (10:30am - 12:30pm): Screening of "Secrets of the Surface: The Mathematical Vision of Maryam Mirzakhani" (with Japanese subtitles), followed by a panel discussion with five experts.

2. Workshop (10:30am - 4:30pm): Participants can try out puzzles and technologies involving mathematics.

Venue: Miraikan Hall, 7F, National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan)

Admission: Free

Movie screening: 200 seats (first come first serve, pre-registration required)

Workshop: Open to everyone, no registration required.

Note: The movie screening will be in English (with Japanese subtitles), but the panel discussion and workshop will be in Japanese.
