Description and practical details

The Institute of Mathematics (IMath) at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) joins the global May12 initiative with a two-part celebration:

  • Poster Exhibit : Women in IMath (May 11–15)
    A week-long curated display at the Math Building (First Floor Area) featuring academic posters and short personal profiles of women researchers across different research groups within the IMath.

  • Film Showing (May 12, 4:00 PM)
    A community screening of 'Secrets of the Surface: The Mathematical Vision of Maryam Mirzakhani' in Math Building Annex (MBAN) Room 305, followed by an open forum with coffee and snacks.

We aim to highlight the research contributions of women in our institute, and foster an inclusive and inspiring environment for the members of the UP Diliman community and beyond.
