This international event will bring together mathematicians, researchers, educators, and stakeholders from across Africa and the diaspora to celebrate the achievements of women in mathematics and discuss strategies for strengthening their participation and leadership in the mathematical sciences.
The programme will feature keynote addresses by distinguished speakers, a panel discussion on regional perspectives and challenges, and the official launch of the AWMA Historical Documentation Project — a continental initiative dedicated to documenting the history, contributions, and progress of African women in mathematics.
The event will also include discussions on mentorship, research collaboration, leadership development, global partnerships, and future opportunities for women mathematicians across Africa and beyond.
