Description and practical details

The UK’s Academy for the Mathematical Sciences is marking the day by highlighting some of the women integral to the success and development of the Academy, and calling for wider recognition of the significant contributions made by women to diverse fields in the mathematical sciences and beyond. 

The Academy works to develop, communicate, teach and use the power of the mathematical sciences to benefit our world. We are encouraging the UK maths community to celebrate Women in Maths on May 12 by hosting workplace and public events between now and 15 June.
