The celebration includes female undergraduate students' research talks and a large outreach program.
Stat-Math Unit of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India is organising a program `Celebrating Women in Mathematics' under May12 Initiative of CWM-IMU on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 4.00PM to 6:30 PM. We will have a brief introduction to the May12 initiative and women in mathematics, an hour long talk by Prof. Kingshook Biswas (ISI Kolkata) titled "Dynamics and Geometry: the work of Maryam Mirzakhani" and a film "Secrets of the Surface: The Mathematical Vision of Maryam Mirzakhani” followed by tea and discussion.

On the occasion of the International Women in Mathematics Day, the coordinators of the European Women in Mathematics in Ukraine (EWM Ukraine) are organizing a thematic workshop, the aim of which is to strengthen ties in the Ukrainian mathematical community and emphasize the role of women in modern science.
The program includes:
– scientific reports and discussions in various fields of mathematics;
– participants’ experience gained during research internships in Ukraine and abroad;
– creating a space for cooperation, mutual support, and new ideas.
Active Learning Methods in Engineering Mathematics - For and Against!
Open debate, discussions and good practise examples will be shared among participanting women, while not excluding our male colleagues, teaching basic courses of Mathematics at technical universities.
The team Young Minds NTUA Section and the NTUA Committee for Gender Equality and for Combating Discriminacy are organising the journee Women In Science 2025 on May 9, 2025. The event will take place at the NTUA Event Hall and will include 4 talks by successful women in areas of STEM, panel - round table discussion on the theme "Encouraging young women into sciences STEM", poster session and film screening of the film "Secrets of the surface".
High school girls participating in a GEM (Girls Exploring Math) activity visit the university to spend a day focused on mathematics and the issue of gender representation in scientific professions. They interact with professional female mathematicians, discover unexpected aspects of the discipline, and deconstruct stereotypes that link gender and STEM fields.
On Friday, May 23rd the "Celebrating Women in Mathematics Day" will take place at the Department of Mathematics, University of Graz.

To celebrate women in mathematics, our PhD female students will each present a talk of about 15 minutes on their ongoing research activities. The scientific work will be interspersed by readings from women scientists, selected from our prestigious library. We will conclude our workshop with a toast to women in mathematics in Aula Gio Ponti (see infos in the poster of the event).
