In celebration of International Women in Mathematics Day, the sixth edition of May@DiMaI will take place on May 12 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 207 of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of Florence.

O IV Workshop de Mulheres na Matemática – WMM acontecerá nos dias 13 a 15 de maio de 2026 na Universidade Federal de Rural de Pernambuco – PE, no Departamento de Matemática da UFRPE. O evento reunirá pesquisadoras com relevantes contribuições matemáticas, proporcionando a divulgação científica e valorizando a pesquisa em matemática realizada por mulheres, como também despertará o interesse para questões de gênero.
Online workshop "Ukrainian Women in Mathematics: Symmetry Analysis and Applications" will be held in Kyiv on May 12, 2026.
The workshop is organized by Dr. Olena Vaneeva, Dr. Oleksandra Vinnichenko, and the Young Scientists Board of the Institute of Mathematics of NAS of Ukraine as the part of the May12 initiative.

This meeting aims to promote the participation and empowerment of women in the field of mathematics, bringing together experts, students, and professionals to share experiences and knowledge.
The event will feature lectures and panel discussions on relevant topics in mathematics and its application in different areas.

The London Hopper is for academic researchers across the UK who are building a career in computing.
Grace Hopper was an American mathematician and rear admiral in the U.S. Navy who was a pioneer in developing computer technology. Before joining the Navy, Hopper earned a Ph.D. in both mathematics and mathematical physics from Yale University and was a professor of mathematics at Vassar College.
The event consists of a survey talk delivered by Prof. Roberta Bianchini of CNR-IAC Roma, entitled "Riding the wave of fluid instabilities", plus an opening address concerning Maryam Mirzakhani delivered by Prof. Serena Cenatiempo of the Gran Sasso Science Institute.

<Korean Women in Mathematical Science> was established in 2004 to contribute to the development and dissemination of mathematical science and technology by promoting academic development and active exchange of Korean mathematicians, and expanding the base of female mathematicians.
On the occasion of the May 12 Initiative, WoNiMS is going to organize a one-and-a-half-day "WoNiMS Meet and Greet Program," which is a joyous chance for the mathematical community to encourage an inclusive, friendly, and open work environment for everyone worldwide and to inspire women everywhere to celebrate their achievements in mathematics.
