According to the latest research, everyone who teaches mathematics plays an extreme role in addressing the gender gap problem. To learn more, you are invited to the outreach event "Celebrating Women in Mathematics in Graz," which will take place in HS 11.02 (Heinreichstraße 36) on June 24 from 13:00 – 15:00.
The program includes three talks by Dr. Anitha Thillaisundaram from Lund University, Prof. Silke Luttenberger from Pädagogische Hochschule Steiermark, and Dr. Cordula Reisch from Technische Universität Braunschweig, suitable for an audience of non-experts. The goal is to increase the visibility of women mathematicians and promote gender equality in mathematics, in the spirit of the "May 12 initiative" (find out more at https://may12.womeninmaths.org/).
Refreshments will be offered to the participants after the talks. Everyone is welcome to attend, including math and teaching students!
