Mathematics group at the School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India is organising a program `Celebrating Women in Mathematics' under May12 Initiative of CWM-IMU on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. We will have a brief introduction to the May12 initiative and women in mathematics, an hour long talk by Prof. Sneha Chaubey (IIIT Delhi) titled "Rational numbers with bounded denominators and their role in prime number distribution" and a film "Secrets of the Surface: The Mathematical Vision of Maryam Mirzakhani” followed by tea and discussion. This program it is jointly organised with the Indian Women and Mathematics (IWM). For more information, please see the poster attached.
