The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen invites all students and staff to participate in an event to celebrate the "Women in Mathematics Day”.
The program will start with a celebration of Gerd Grubb, Professor emerita and the first female professor of the department, who received the Gold Medal of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters in 2020. This will be followed by a panel discussion on life and career after a mathematics degree. In addition to Gerd Grubb, the panel will count with the participation of Susanne Ditlevsen (Professor, University of Copenhagen), Therese Graversen (Associate Professor, IT University), Anne Nørklit Lønborg (Executive Vice President, CIO, Tryg) and Kirsten Rosenkild (Lektor, Nørre Gymnasium).
The event is organised by the diversity committee of the department, and joins the worldwide initiative of the May 12 - Women in Mathematics Days.
