Thanks to Zarafilm and May12 Initiative, supported by the International Mathematical Union Committee for Women in Mathematics (CWM) a film "Secrets of the surface, Maryam Mirzakhani's Mathematical Vision" directed by George Paul Csicsery about the mathematical life of Maryam Mirzakhani, first woman to win Fields Medal in mathematics will be screened online.
We will meet to watch the movie together. Before to watch it, we will do a brief introduction about what are the surfaces in math and who is Maryam.
In the end, after watching the movie, we will lead a session of questions and answers.
