The Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) proudly celebrates its 52nd anniversary as the country’s premier professional organization dedicated to the advancement of mathematics and mathematics education. For the first time in its history, the annual convention will be held in the culturally rich and vibrant city of Zamboanga—Asia’s Latin City—at the elegant Palacio del Sur.
This year’s convention promises an engaging and dynamic program that includes plenary talks, parallel sessions, a dedicated poster session, and a special highlight: a Special Session on Women in Mathematics. This session will showcase the contributions and journeys of women in the mathematical sciences and feature distinguished speakers:
- Ma. Louise Antonette N. De Las Peñas, Professor, Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines
- Wirichada Pan-ngum, Associate Professor, Mahidol University, Thailand; University of Oxford, UK
These accomplished scholars will share their experiences, research, and perspectives, aiming to inspire and empower the next generation of mathematicians, especially women pursuing careers in mathematics.
