Women in Mathematics, Pisa

The activities we have planned are:

- Inauguration of the new section of the Library entitled "Le Matematiche RacContate", dedicated to the biographies and scientific contributions of women in mathematics, written in various and contemporary styles such as graphic novels, and including works from the Comics&Science series.

- A presentation by professor Giovanni Alberti on the Sphere Packing Problem, the solution of which for dimensions n = 4 and n = 8 represents a scientific contribution that was one of the reasons Maryna Viazovska was awarded the Fields Medal.

- Vision of a short interview with Maryna Viazovska.

- Open discussion on the challenges of *Doing Mathematics in Pisa*, with particular attention to gender-related issues and current inequalities.

- Social event with a light dinner
