Celebrating Women in Mathematics in Kolkata

Stat-Math Unit of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India is organising a program  `Celebrating Women in Mathematics' under May12 Initiative of CWM-IMU on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 4.00PM to 6:30 PM. We will have a brief introduction to the May12 initiative and women in mathematics, an hour long talk by Prof. Kingshook Biswas (ISI Kolkata) titled "Dynamics and Geometry: the work of Maryam Mirzakhani" and a film "Secrets of the Surface: The Mathematical Vision of Maryam Mirzakhani” followed by tea and discussion. This program it is jointly organised with the Indian Women and Mathematics (IWM).
