O evento tem como objetivo celebrar o Dia Internacional da Mulher na Matemática (12 de maio) por meio da exibição de documentários que destacam as contribuições, desafios e conquistas de mulheres na matemática. A mostra apresenta três produções dirigidas por George Csicsery (Zala Films): um documentário sobre a trajetória de Maryam Mirzakhani, primeira mulher a receber a Medalha Fields, e dois documentários que abordam as experiências e a trajetória de matemáticas e matemáticos negros nos Estados Unidos, promovendo reflexões sobre diversidade, representatividade e inclusão na Matemática.

The event aims to celebrate International Women in Mathematics Day (May 12) by screening documentaries that highlight the contributions, challenges and achievements of women in mathematics. The exhibition features three productions directed by George Csicsery (Zala Films): a documentary about the trajectory of Maryam Mirzakhani, the first woman to receive the Fields Medal, and two documentaries that address the experiences and trajectory of black mathematicians in the United States, promoting reflections on diversity, representation and inclusion in Mathematics.
