The 6th IMPA Meeting on Women in Mathematics – EMMI is organized by students of the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics to celebrate Women in Mathematics Day and promote a conversation about the reality of women in academic careers. To broaden the scope of the discussion, everyone's presence is welcome and encouraged. In its sixth edition, the event will be held on May 22nd and will seek to highlight the participation of women and other underrepresented groups in mathematics, with lectures by invited researchers and very short presentations by people at the beginning of their careers. In addition, and in the style of previous editions, it will open a dialogue between professors involved in minority issues in mathematics and the public. In a hybrid format, the Meeting will be broadcast simultaneously via the Zoom platform, allowing for online viewing, or in person at the IMPA auditorium. Registration is required to participate.
