In the frame of celebrating the international day of women in Mathematics which is 12 May 2020, and with the sponsorship of

The Egyptian Mathematical Society    and    The National Committee of Mathematics

The Association of Egyptian  Women in Mathematics  organized an online event for the celebration of the international day of women in Mathematics via zoom on Saturday, May 16, 2020, from 1 to 3 pm.

The program

1:00-1:10       A speech by  Prof. Dr.  Abdel-Shafy ObadaPresident of the Egyptian Mathematics Society

1:10-1:20       A speech by  Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Aty President of the National Committee of Mathematics

1:20-1:40   A speech by Prof. Dr. Entesarat EL Shobky, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.

She was chosen as Role Model for the celebration,

1:40-2:00      A Lecture on the Project The gender gap in STEM: How to measure it, how to reduce it? by Prof. Dr. Zeinab Mansour/ Cairo University.

After the lecture, we had some discussions and agreed that we should study in more details the situation in Egypt.
