At GCSE both girls and boys achieve equally well in mathematics but a larger proportion of boys go on to take a level 3 maths qualification. Why is that? What can we do about it?
In our Women in Maths Day themed twitter hour, guest hosts, Rachel Beddoes (Girls' Participation and Careers Coordinator, MEI) and Louise Maule (Project Lead for Maths4Girls, Founders4Schools), will explore those questions with you. Rachel and Louise will also discuss the impact of role models and how engaging with employers and promoting the utility of maths can increase participation in advanced maths.
