To celebrate International Day for Women in #Mathematics,the UKAid funded Building Learning Foundations team in #Rwanda is convening a virtual event: Empower Girls in Mathematics: Start Early on 12 May at 9am (GMT) #IDWM @BLF_Rwanda
Activities will include;
- A competition at school level dubbed “Girls Mathematics Challenge” targeting female students at P1 to P3 in selected 3 districts of Rwanda. Competition activities will include mental mathematics, puzzles and a Quiz bee;
- Media engagement highlighting testimonies of women/girls who have excelled in the field of Mathematics in Rwanda.
- A webinar discussing the theme and how to encourage girls/women to take on Mathematics as a future career.
