Symposium On International Women in Mathematics Day

On the occasion of International Women in Mathematics Day on May 12, 2022, the Department of Mathematics, IIT Patna announces a symposium in online mode to mark the birth anniversary of Maryam Mirzakhani. Maryam Mirzakhani was the first and the only female recipient of the Fields medal, the highest honour in Mathematics. The main purpose of the event is to celebrate the achievements of women Mathematicians and to provide young scholars and students, especially females, an opportunity to interact with accomplished researchers.

•    Expert lecture by Dr Nikita Agarwal, IISER Bhopal
About Speaker: Dr Nikita Agarwal is an Associate Professor at IISER Bhopal working in the area of pure and applied dynamical systems. She has also written on works of Maryam Mirzakhani.
