12 May is a joyful opportunity for the mathematical community to celebrate women in mathematics. The celebration takes place every year, all around the world. The goal of the day is to inspire women everywhere to celebrate their achievements in mathematics, and to encourage an open, welcoming, and inclusive work environment for everybody. This day is in honour of Maryam Mirzakhani, born on 12 May 1977, the first and only woman to be awarded the Fields Medal.
On this occasion, we invite you to attend the hybrid conference organised by Dr Lama Tarsissi, Assistant Professor- Mathematics at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and CWM Ambassador in Lebanon and in the UAE.
