To celebrate Women in Maths day, there will be an online event on May 19, 2021, organized by TKMD.
In the event there will be an opening talk on the life and work of Maryam Mirzakhani then there will a talk given by Munevver Tezer and an interview with her. We also plan for the screening of the movie “Words of women in mathematics in the time of Corona”.

Women of Nepal in Mathematical Sciences(WoNiMS) is going to Celebrate Women in Mathematics as a part of the May 12 Initiative https://may12.womeninmaths.org/ on Wednesday, 29 Baishakh, 2078 (May 12, 2021) from 17:00 – 18:30 NST to inspire women in mathematics. This online event consists of two talks:- A Promotional talk on "May 12 initiative: Inspiring Nepali Women in Mathematics” and a Scientific talk on “Mathematical Study of Temperature Distribution in Breast Tumor”. Also, the discussion and experience sharing on the impact of COVID-19 and balancing family and work.

15:00-15:10 Introductory message by Professor Sarah Whitehouse. Sarah is a Professor of Pure Mathematics, working in Algebraic Topology, and Deputy Head of Sheffield’s School of Mathematics and Statistics.
15:10-15:35 Professor Elizabeth Winstanley "A journey through space and time". Elizabeth is a Professor of Mathematical Physics in Sheffield’s School of Mathematics and Statistics.
1º Encontro de Mulheres Matemática do IMPA will discuss issues as the gender gap between men and women in mathematics, suggest new politics to reduce this difference and will also give the opportunity to exchange experiences among the participants.
Since 2019, May 12th is the International Day of Mathematical Women, and together with the UPB we want to celebrate it in a big way so that there will be many more women in the future.
On May 12, 2021 (a day in honour of women in mathematics), PIMS will offer a virtual screening of the acclaimed film Picture a Scientist. This will be followed by a panel discussion on May 14, 2021.

We will have a roundtable discussion promoting a debate on gender equality, with the aim of encouraging the inclusion and participation of women in Mathematics. The "May 12- Celebrating Women in Mathematics" started in 2018, in memory of Maryam Mirzakhani (Medal Fields 2014), coinciding with the date of her birth.

Celebrating international-women-in-mathematics-day, Shiraz University of Technology, Shiraz, Iran
The aim of the event is to honor and celebrate the life and work of Maryam Mirzakhani. The event is also scheduled to bring together students, graduates and faculty members of the Faculty of Mathematics of Shiraz University of Technology to discuss ways to increase the presence and influence of women in the mathematical community.
