Celebrating Women in Mathematics through Webinar on Description and Prediction of COVID-19 Phenomena based on Social Media Data using Stochastic Modeling (Indonesia)

In celebration of Women in Mathematics 2020 and tribute to Maryam Mirzakhani, the Stochastic Modeling Research Group at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran will organize " Webinar of Description and Prediction of COVID-19 Phenomena based on Social Media Data using Stochastic Modeling" on 13 May 2020 by Zoom Meeting at Bandung -West Java-Indonesia. In this webinar, the Speakers are Prof. Dr. Budi Nurani Ruchjana and Prof. Dr. Asep K. Supriatna.

This general audience trivia game about mathematics aims to celebrate May 12 in a unique and fun way. Featuring special guest Amie Wilkinson, participants will explore questions such about mathematics, learning what mathematicians do and why.

El 12 de mayo celebramos el Día Internacional de las Mujeres en Matemáticas, esta fecha fue designada en honor al nacimiento de la matemática iraní Maryam Mirzakhani, única mujer en recibir la Medalla Fields por sus importantes aportaciones en el estudio de los espacios de moduli de las superficies de Riemann, esto sucedió en 2014.
