Conference

On the occasion of International Women's Day in Mathematics, which is held on May 12th every year, the National Higher School of Mathematics is organizing a scientific event to celebrate this occasion next Tuesday may 16th, starting at 2:30 pm. This event will be completely organized by women mathematicians, students, and faculty staff. There will be conferences and motivational messages from Algerian women mathematicians abroad. Please refer to the attached program for more details.

The conference “Women in Mathematics” will be held at the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics on May 27-28, 2023. The conference is organized in honor of the International Women in Mathematics Day celebrated on May 12. Within the framework of the conference, women will give scientific talks on various areas of mathematics. Representatives of various chairs of the Department of Mechanics and Mathematics of Novosibirsk State University will take part in the conference.

This is the third edition of International Women in Mathematics Day held at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.

LANZAMIENTO DE LAS ENTREVISTAS A: "mujeres que aman a las matemáticas"

El próximo miércoles 10 de mayo a las 14 hs, en el aula
3 del Pabellón 1 tendremos una charla con motivo del Día de las Mujeres en
Matemática (https://may12.womeninmaths.org/).
En la misma mostraremos los números por género que tenemos en el DM y en
el IMAS y luego tendremos el placer de recibir a Virginia Brassesco (UniPe
y FCEyN, UBA) quien nos hablará sobre:

"Sesgos en Ciencia y Tecnología, una mirada con perspectiva educativa"

O evento consiste em apresentações de trabalho por jovens doutores na área de álgebra e no dia 11 de maio, as palestrantes serão jovens algebristas do sexo feminino, celebrando as mulheres na álgebra e antecipando as comemorações de 12 de maio. 

On May 26th 2023 from 1-3 pm, the University of Graz will host at the Institute of Mathematics and Scientific Computing the outreach event "Celebrating Women in Mathematics in Graz".

The afternoon program includes two talks by Dr. Federica Caforio (University of Graz) and Dr. Roswitha Rissner (University of Klagenfurt), suitable for an audience of non-experts.

As part of the PET - seminars which occur monthly on a Wednesday morning, the talk in May will be about gender gap.

It will happen at room 1234 of building 13 in UFSM.

University of Turin and Politecnico of Turin organize an event on the occasion of the Women in Mathematics Day, on 12 May 2023.
During the morning session, young female PhD students will introduce their research work in the fields of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Sciences.
