52nd MSP Annual Convention Featuring a Special Session on Women in Mathematics

The Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) proudly celebrates its 52nd anniversary as the country’s premier professional organization dedicated to the advancement of mathematics and mathematics education. For the first time in its history, the annual convention will be held in the culturally rich and vibrant city of Zamboanga—Asia’s Latin City—at the elegant Palacio del Sur.

Certainty in uncertain times

On 12 May we celebrate women in mathematics. The goal of the day is to inspire women everywhere to celebrate their achievements in mathematics, and to encourage an open, welcoming and inclusive work environment for everybody. This year, which is also the 70th birthday of the Leiden University Mathematical Institute, we mark this day with a public lecture by prof. dr. Eva Miranda on certainty in uncertain times.

4'th Danish Celebration of Women in Mathematics

To mark the International Day of Women in Mathematics and showcase the excellent work done by female researchers in all areas of theoretical and applied mathematics, an international conference celebrating women in mathematical sciences will be held on May 8-9 at Aalborg University. There will be six plenary speakers and a number of shorter contributed talks. A conference dinner and a poster session will be organized on the evening of May 8. The conference is open to all staff and students from Danish and international universities. Participation is free of charge.

The international day of Women in Mathematics Celebration in Egypt

The Egyptian Women in Mathematics Association (EWMA) celebrates the International Day of Women in Mathematics at a conference that remarks on the Faculty of Science, Cairo University Centennial (1925–2025). The event is  organized with the cooperation of the Egyptian Mathematical Society, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt, and the Faculty of Science at Cairo University.

Celebrating Women in Mathematics/Célébrer les femmes en mathématiques

Une initiative de l'Université Lédéa Bernard OUEDRAOGO et de son département de Mathématiques et Informatique pour la 7ème édition de la journée d'hommage aux femmes en mathématiques !

L'organisation d'un visionnage du film documentaire "Secrets de la surface : la vision mathématique de Maryam Mirzakhani" sera le moyen de rendre hommage à sa mémoire et de faire découvrir son travail et sa pensée. Ce film permettra  de rendre plus accessible sa contribution exceptionnelle à un public plus large.

Numbers and Narratives: A Feminist Genealogy of Automathographies

The Numbers and Narratives: A Feminist Genealogy of Automathographies Research Symposium will take place on May 12, 2025, at the Senate House Library, University of London. Marking the conclusion of a Leverhulme Trust-funded project and coinciding with International Women in Mathematics Day, the symposium brings together international scholars to explore the intersections of gender, mathematics, history, philosophy, and narrative. The keynote address, "Do women count? Yet?", will be delivered by Professor Valerie Walkerdine.

Conference on Fundamental and Applied Mathematics in Tunis

The Tunisian Women Mathematicians' Association (TWMA) organize the third edition of the Conference on Fundamental and Applied Mathematics: CFAM 2025,  on  May 12, 2025 at the Faculty of Science of Tunis.

The conference is held in honor of Maryam Mirzakhani, the first woman and Iranian Fields Medalist. 

This event feature keynote talks delivered by young researchers, alongside opportunities for others to present their work.
