This is an even for all faculty of sciences at KTH, organised by the Q-network of female faculty and god students. We will show the film and have a discussion afterwords.

We will have a virtual screening event within our event series FACETS of mathematicians and share our thoughts and impressions afterwards.
Following our succesful International Women in Mathematics Day celebrations in 2019, this year at SoMaS we will be holding a virtual screening of 'Secrets of the Surface', with all staff and students encouraged to watch simultaneously on the afternoon of May 12th and a discussion board to share our thoughts about the film and wider issues of women in mathematics.
The Applied Math department at University of Washington would like to screen this documentary on Zoom to its students, faculty, and staff. We estimate between 10-20 interested in this documentary, which we plan to organize an event around on May 12 (starting 5pm PST). Our goal is to honor the life and legacy of Maryam Mirzakhani and to inspire future young generations by her passion, drive, and talent.
The screening will be followed by an interactive discussion session.
