Se proyectará el documental 'Secrets of the surface' de George Csicsery sobre Maryam Mirzakhani. También se presentará la exhibición virtual 'Remember Maryam Mirzakhani' dedicada a la misma matemática, una iniciativa del Committee for Women in Mathematics que fue exhibida por primera vez durante el Congreso Internacional de Matemáticos 2018 en Rio de Janeiro.

La exhibición virtual fue programada y diseñada por estudiantes de matemática y ciencias de la computación de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario en el marco del proyecto de comunicación Matematizame!

Film Screening Secrets of the Surface

May 12th is the birth date of Maryam Mirzakhani, who was an Iranian mathematician and also the first woman to be awarded the Fields Medal.
The film Secrets of the Surface follows Maryam Mirzakhani's life and work in mathematics.

The 1 hour film will be followed by a half hour discussion.

We will host an in-person screening at Uni Wien (16:45 - 18:15), JKU Linz (17:15 - 18:45) and an online screening (20:00 - 21:30).

Movie Screening 'Women In Science In Africa, A Silent Revolution'

May 12, the birthday of Maryam Mirzakhani, the first woman to be awarded a field medal is chosen to celebrate ‘Women in Mathematics’ worldwide.

On this occasion, the Department of Mathematics, Abeda Inamdar Senior College, Pune, India has organized a movie screening event. All are welcome to be a part of the event.
