It is a competition for groups of high school youths, groups of 2, 3, or 4 participants, one of them, must be female. Each group must solve 3 or 4 problems of mathematics. During the competition, accompanying people (such as teacher, parents, freinds) are invited to see a movie, and to talk about experiencies of working in Math. After the competition, all students are invited to a relax space, where they find puzzles and board games,
Uniform Convergence is a one-woman play, written and performed by mathematician Corrine Yap (SLMath Spring 2025 SLMath S. Della Pietra Postdoctoral Fellow in the Extremal Combinatorics & Probability and Statistics of Discrete Structures programs).

Esta actividad consiste en que estudiantes de tres liceos de la región de Valparaíso diseñen infografías sobre mujeres matemáticas. En total, se diseñarán ocho infografías de mujeres que han aportado a la disciplina en diferente temporalidad, así como también, mujeres matemáticas latinoamericanas.
La serie de infografías será expuesta en el Museo de Historia Natural de Valparaíso el día jueves 15 de mayo de 2025.

The Maths and Stats Society at UOW will be organising a trivia event open to all students and staff to celebrate WIM2025. The trivia questions will be centered around women in mathematics topic.
Conmemoration of International Women in Math Day.
In this edition, the Math Department at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso, Chile will commemorate this day with an open invitation to students from educational institutions, a talk by PhD. Pamela Lloyd mathematician, and the awarding of prizes for competitions related to women in mathematics open to public.
In addition, we will kick off the PUCV Women in Mathematics Tournament, which will be held in Valparaíso.
We will close with a panel of women in mathematics.
The 5º Encontro Mulheres Matemáticas do IMPA is organized by the students of IMPA with the aim of start a conversation about the academic life for womem.
In its fifth edition, the event will be held on May 19 and will address issues related to women in mathematics, with a focus on mental health in the academic environment and issues of race and gender. In addition to lectures, the program will feature chats with professors and students.

We will hold an afternoon of talks by female mathematicians in the department. The aim is for speakers to be from a variety of levels/career stages, including undergraduate, postgraduate research, postdoc and lecturers. Talks will be primarily research oriented, but accessible to undergraduates, and with an emphasis on why the person chose to study maths and/or pursue a career in maths, and what fascinates them about their research.
