Expert talk by female Mathematician Dr. Ranjana Jain(Associate Professor, University of Delhi) on the topic "Analysis behind Integration" and a presentation representing some famous female Mathematicians .

Prof Gurmeet Kaur Bakshi (Panjab University) will give a talk related to her work in Mathematics. She will also talk about her mathematical journey.

Durante este día tendremos dos jornadas; la primera dirigida a mujeres estudiantes de colegio donde tendremos un panel con estudiantes y egresadas del programa de Matemáticas de la Konrad Lorenz y posteriormente realizaremos un circuito de retos. Para la jornada de la tarde, contaremos con la visita de la Secretaría de la Mujer donde nos compartirán información sobre los Centros de Inclusión Digital y finalizaremos la jornada con un Workshop interdisciplinar en reducción de brecha de género. 

What does 'shearing' has to with butterflies?  What does 'rigidity' means in mathematics and why is it important? In this talk, accessible to Bachelor and Master students with a mathematical background, we will try to answer these questions offering a glimpse of the powerful mathematical works of Marina Ratner (1938-2017) and her legacy, from the Ratner shearing property to Ratner's rigidity theorems.

The talk is part of the May12 initiatives to 'Celebrate Women in Mathematics'.

Conversaremos sobre os desafios, os obstáculos e as alegrias que encontramos ao fazer matemática.

We are hosting two talks and a movie screening as part of our celebration. The first talk is titled "Women in Mathematics through the Years," presented by Mythili Ramaswamy from ICTS-TIFR, Bangalore. The second talk, "Studying geometry through invariants," will be presented by Charanya Ravi from ISI Bangalore. We will also be screening the movie "Picture a Scientist," a documentary in which leading women scientists discuss the inequalities they've faced as they set out to create a new formula to make STEM open to all.

Series of talks about women in mathematics and science, in may 11th and may 12th.
