Celebrating Women in Mathematics 2025 Webinar on Application of Ethnomathematics and Ethno-informatics to Support Cultural Preservation in Indonesia, Case Study: Sundanese and Acehnese Culture

In line with the commemoration of the birthday of woman mathematician Prof. Maryam Mirzakhani and the National Awakening Day of May 20 at the year 2025 in Indonesia, the Study Center of Modelling and Computation Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Padjadjaran University together with the Indonesian Mathematical Society (IndoMS) branch of West Java, held a webinar which was carried out in a hybrid manner.

Careers in Mathematics and Statistics: an all female panel discussion

We will be hosting an online discussion Panel on women's Careers in Mathematics and Statistics for Open University mathematics students. 

The panel will feature mathematics graduates with varied careers, including in public health, education, finance and web development. Students will have the opportunity to ask these successful women about their career journey, choices and progression, as well as the supports and barriers to their success and advice they give to new and prospective career women in mathematics and statistics.

EWM May12 event

This online event will help celebrate and support women in mathematics across Europe.   It will consist of sets of short talks, plus  informal "coffee breaks" offering a chance to meet and talk to women in mathematics across Europe.
