Online event

The aim of this workshop is to increase the visibility of the female members of the GF (Generalized Functions) community and to facilitate scientific collaboration and networking within this group. We would like to encourage female mathematicians in the early stage of their scientific career to participate and present their first results, but the event is not restricted only to female mathematicians.

The Women in Math Committee of the Canadian Mathematics Society will be hosting an on-line event for International Women in Mathematics Day. This is a joyful opportunity for the mathematical community to celebrate women in mathematics.

Our event will be on Friday May 10, 2024, times across the country are:
BC - 10am | Sask/Alberta - 11am | Manitoba - noon | Ontario - 1pm | Maritimes - 2pm | Newfoundland - 2:30

We will have a panel of prominent women mathematician who will talk about their careers with a focus on how we can support each other.

The Women in Math Committee (WiM) of the European Mathematical Society is organising an event called "EMS/WiM Day" within the initiative of "May 12th", a celebration of women in Mathematics in memory of Maryam Mirzakhani. The event consists of scientific talks (at the level of a Colloquium talk) of two distinguished speakers, which will take place online on Friday, May 17th, 2024, with the following schedule:

The second lecture of the ongoing series of lectures to celebrate International women in Mathematics will be by Dr. Olena Vanneva. She is vice head and lead researcher at Institute of Mathematics of the National academy of sciences, Ukraine. Dr. Vanneva will speak on history of women in mathematics. 

To celebrate the "International Women in Mathematics Day", the Department of Mathematics, Maitreyi College, University of Delhi is organising an online event comprising of the screening of the movie "Journeys of Women in Mathematics" followed by an online quiz on "Women in Mathematics" on June 9, 2023 at 4 PM.

As part of the May12 Initiative, an online colloquium talk by Prof. Neela Nataraj. The target audience for this presentation is undergraduate and postgraduate students in Mathematics.

Title: A Short Introduction To The Finite Element Method

To celebrate women in Mathematics, department of Mathematics, Maitreyi College, University of Delhi announces a symposium in hybrid mode. The main purpose of the event is to celebrate the achievements of women Mathematicians and to provide young students, especially females, an opportunity to interact with accomplished female researcher. 

Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur (India) is organising an International event in honour of Maryam Mirzakhani (May 12, 1977 – July 14, 2017), the first woman to win the Fields Medal for her outstanding contributions to “the dynamics and geometry of Riemann surfaces and their moduli spaces”. It will be an online event.

The talk will be online  on 10 june , 2023 (saturday) on Zoom platform. The resource person is Prof. Jyoti Sharma, a renowned Professor of Mathematics Education. She is currently Joint director of Cluster innovation centre ,University of Delhi and also Joint Director of Institute of life long learning(ILLL),University of Delhi. The participants of this event will be  undergraduate  women students of Shyama Prasad Mukherji college for women, University of Delhi, along with our alumnus and students of various colleges of University of Delhi.
