Una medaglia Fields per Archimede
Le Département de Mathématiques Informatique et Statistique de la Faculté des Sciences et Technologies de l'Université de Kinshasa, célèbre la Journée Internationale de la Femme Mathématicienne en organisant une conférence - débat au cours de laquelle les trois meilleures étudiantes par filière du Département vont présenter un résumé de leurs travaux des mémoires respectifs. Au total nous aurons 9 "perles" dont trois en Mathématiques, 3 en Informatique, option Gestion et 3 en Informatique, option Génie.
The conference will be given in french, both IRL and online. The public is not assumed to have mathematical background beyond, say, Thales & Pythagoras theorems.

We will have 3 talks by: Karine Bertin, Soledad Torres and Andrea Jiménez. We are the three female professors at the Instituto de Ingeniería Matemática at the Universidad de Valparaíso.
This year IHES is celebrating the International Day of Women in Mathematics through an event that will take place on May 17, both at IHES and online.
On that occasion, Indira Chatterji, professor of mathematics at the University of Nice, will give a talk entitled Institutional bias, explained by a mathematician.
