O evento tem como objetivo celebrar o Dia Internacional da Mulher na Matemática (12 de maio) por meio da exibição de documentários que destacam as contribuições, desafios e conquistas de mulheres na matemática.

The films will be shown across the school. 

In celebration of International Women in Mathematics Day 2025, the Isaac Newton Institute and Centre for Mathematical Sciences will be screening a film that tells the story of the renowned mathematician Olga Aleksandrovna Ladyzhenskaya (1922–2004) who is celebrated for her contributions to partial differential equations, fluid dynamics and influence on the development of modern mathematical physics. 

The documentary "Secrets of the Surface" about the work and life of Maryam Mirzakhani will be screened at 3.30 in Room THB-G10 in the Hardiman Research Building at the University of Galway. Everyone is welcome.
